I went home again last weekend. It was wonderful. And of course, among other things, there was a beach trip.
It was Serina's birthday, and her activity of choice was going to La Jolla Cove and seeing the tide pools/sea lions.
We found all sorts of creatures in the tide pools. My favorites are the hermit crabs.
Serina's a fan of them, too.
We didn't find this, but we were lucky enough to stumble upon the snorkeler who found it.
Most of my starfish experience comes from Sea World, and I've never seen one this color before.
It was so beautiful. And sunny. I even got to break out my shorts.

Man I LOVE california. I'm super jealous & I miss shorts. I think It's about time to start wearing them. I'll be in Arizona until the middle of march, but then I go to Utah so I need to enjoy the shorts while I can ;)
